Perhaps because I was born in Sherwood Forest, I have a fascination for woodlands, their flora and fauna often being the subject of my paintings.

Animals have always played a huge part in my life.  As a child I constantly drew our family dogs, cats and other people’s horses. I like to try and capture their individual personalities in my pet portraits.

Since moving to Cornwall, it’s stunning coastline and vast wilderness of moorland have become a great source of inspiration too.

I mainly paint in water colour as I enjoy the freedom and fluidity of this medium, but I also regularly use acrylics and dabble in other mediums from time to time.
